Waterfalls & Sparrows || My Birthday

Several years ago I drove past Wrights Watergardens on my way to and from work every day, and often thought, "One day I should go there!" My birthday seemed like a good time to put work and concerns aside for a day and see what this place had to offer. I'm so glad I did because the gardens were absolutely beautiful, even in the middle of winter. The day was chillingly cold, but the sun was bright and the sky clear and blue. A lovely day celebrating another trip around the sun.

God was watching and He knows your name

Assault. Abuse. Pornography. Trafficking. Exploitation is rampant. Can't you just leave the child alone? Every way I turn I seem to meet someone with a gut-wrenching story. Someone forever changed. What a life to endure. Sometimes it seems evil continues unchecked, even prosperously. But God is watching each of these horrific ordeals and will one day deal sin the final blow and hold these perpetrators accountable. He knows each of their names.

In the meantime I'm grateful for the work of agencies like Child Rescue NZ, helping rescue exploited children and reintegrate them into society.
