The Homeschool Reunion That Wasn't

October was a busy month for me, and sadly it *completely* slipped my mind (until the last minute) that I was {supposed to be} organising a homeschool reunion. I'd put the event out on Facebook and really wasn't sure if anyone was going to come, but thought I'd better be there and semi-prepared just in case. Loaded up car + trailer with the barbeque and various extras, enlisted some siblings and headed out to see what the day had in store.
As it turned out, there was A LOT of wind coming, and overall the day was chilly and not particularly pleasant for such an event.
Eventually we concluded no one else was coming, so contacted the family to re-purpose the afternoon into a special time for the little ones.

10 on 10

Yesterday I worked the business day away from home, then arrived back to help a little before settling into photo processing for the evening.

~~~~~~
10 on 10 is a collection of 10 images posted on the 10th of the month, shot the day before. No "special" shoot, just taking my camera with me as I go about my day and capturing art in everyday life.
Joel & Esther's Wedding
The day I survived on ~2-2 1/2 hours sleep {and decided that really wasn't enough}
And that day that two old homeschool friends tied the knot
Sidenote: I'm officially old now. The bride is younger than I am :O ;P
End-of-Year Homeschool Picnic 2014
Toward the end of each school year, our homeschool group has something of a celebratory picnic. Last year I didn't attend, but thought I'd show you these pics of my siblings enjoying themselves anyway. :)
And because I'm stink and don't feel like writing the amazing election post I thought about writing . . . I'm just going to link to an article about why you should vote. It's by a homeschool graduate (albeit American . . . sorry lol). Read it here.
