On reaching parliament, we were greeted by music and a dance group, followed by speeches.

Rebecca shared her experience of a high-risk pregnancy. She and her husband, and their children were overjoyed to have another little one -- only to be told by doctors that this baby was lodged in the scar tissue from eight previous C-sections. They were informed that abortion was their only option, both mother and baby would die otherwise. Doctors told them to abort. Nurses told them to abort. Even the cleaners told them to abort. One doctor told them "I'm a Christian and I believe in miracles--but you aren't getting one!" After many tears and much prayer, Rebecca and her husband refused. They requested the doctors do their best to help BOTH mother AND baby. After signing an agreement that she wouldn't get upset if she bled to death suddenly, Rebecca discovered there in fact were more things the doctors could offer. She was given another scan, this time showing that her baby was in her uterus and not the scar tissue. Her pregnancy remained high-risk, but she now has a healthy little girl, shown below.
