Photoshoot || Jago Children || January 2013

Because Nana lives in Wellington and we rarely make the trip to see her nowadays, I thought it might be nice to take some photos of the family down with me {on my recent trip} for her to see. I got some cool photos and learned more about Mum's camera and Monique's, but somehow when I picked the photos to take with me I missed all of these. Oops! I snapped away happily and before long the number of images was in excess of three hundred! Here are a few of the better ones. :)

Recent Happenings

Recap of my Wellington adventure coming soon. :) In the meantime, here's a small summary of miscellaneous things we've done over the holidays so far.

I've posted a few photos from our house-rearranging, but here are a few more:

Yeah. It isn't half as spacious now :P

Bookcases in and wardrobe filled. We've raised the bar in the wardrobe a bit because some of the dresses were too close the the shoe rack. And we put in another shelf below that one ;)

Triple bunk set. It is more solid now and will be painted purple before it makes it to our room. Jarrod has been building it with some advice/guidance for our uncle (Uncle Paul) who's a builder.
My friend Bethany visited from Australia for a little while. It was three years since I last saw her and it was great to catch up but she has to stay longer next time :P Sadly the photojournalist in me is working part time right now. :/ So we took very few pics I'm afraid. We had a successful shopping expedition together, and Mum took us and another of my friends to a cafe in Devonport for dessert one night.

That's Bethany next to me, and the girl in the blue top is Alison. They're from the same church and came over together.
The end of this post. :P

Camping Trip to Mototapu Island

My dad and three of my siblings went with some other people from church on a tramping trip for two nights to Mototapu Island {to welcome in the new year?}. We took them to the ferry terminal on the morning of Thursday, January 2nd, for their trip to Rangitoto Island. At low tide it is possible to walk between the islands, which is what they did. It was meant to be a three-hour walk but took them five hours! I don't think any of them have written anything about it yet, but here are some photos from Monique's camera.
Umm yeah, that's only for four people and they had to carry everything. !!

Leaving . . .

Great views by the looks of things!

A rest

Campsite down below

Wow tidy campers! :P haha

More New Year Gifts :P

Uncle Pete and Louise came for supper last Tuesday. I surprised them with some presents ;)

I bought Uncle Pete a Ferrari!!!! It has headlights and tail lights, and the one under the scroller wheel changes colour :)
Sadly we missed pics of it, but the little ones were really taken with Louise's new Polaroid camera. The even got Maria to sit on their laps for a photo! #score #someone's really shy #lol
